Chiropractic: from Greek, chiro- “hand-"+ praktikós “with action"
Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline and profession that emphasizes diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine, and how these disorders affect general health via the nervous system. Chiropractic is a holistic practice that recognizes that all aspects of people's needs - psychological, physical and social - should be taken into account and seen as a whole. The main chiropractic treatment technique involves manual therapy, including manipulation of the spine, other joints, and soft tissues; treatment also includes exercises and health and lifestyle counseling.

Massage TherapyMassage Therapy

Massage therapists apply directed pressure to muscles and joints of the body for relaxation, stress reduction and to stimulate circulation and increase suppleness. Therapists at Spring Hill Chiropractic sometimes use adjunctive techniques such as craniosacral technique and Myofascial Release Technique.

Myofascial Release TechniqueMyofascial Release Technique

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy used to treat somatic dysfunction and accompanying pain and restriction of motion. This is accomplished by relaxing contracted muscles, increasing circulation, increasing venous and lymphatic drainage, and stimulating the stretch reflex of muscles and overlying fascia or connective tissue.

Craniosacral TherapyCraniosacral Therapy

A craniosacral therapy session involves the practitioner gently working with the spine, the skull and its cranial sutures, diaphragms, and fascia. This helps release tension and restrictions in these tissues and restore normal function. Craniosacral therapists use the therapy to treat mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ syndrome, and for chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.

Senior's HealthSenior’s Health

As we age the small joints within the spinal column stiffen. Gentle chiropractic adjustments restore and maintain suppleness, slow down and manage arthritic changes. Chiropractic is of great benefit in helping seniors to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

Craniosacral TherapyActivator Technique

Activator technique is a chiropractic treatment method and device that provides an alternative to manual manipulation of the spine or extremity joints. The Activator is a small handheld spring-loaded instrument which delivers a small impulse to the spine. Activator technique is generally regarded as a softer chiropractic treatment technique.

Custom OrthoticsCustom Orthotics

Orthotics are orthopedic devices that are used to alter or modify foot function and are designed to treat, adjust, and support various biomechanical foot disorders. The most effective orthotics, are custom-made devices that are crafted to meet the specific needs of a particular individual. Custom orthotics are created using an impression which duplicates any misalignments in foot structure. Technicians use the impression in an orthotic laboratory to design a device that balances out deformities and corrects misalignments. The finished orthotic is placed in the patient's shoe to support the foot and eliminate abnormal foot biomechanics by keeping the foot properly aligned.

Applied KinesiologyApplied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a chiropractic diagnostic method using manual muscle-strength testing to assist in diagnosis of the functional status of the body.  AK recognizes the triad of health: structural, chemical and mental well-being.

Pediatric ChiropracticPediatric Chiropractic

A healthy functioning spinal column translates into a vibrant nervous system which is your child’s foundation to good health for life. Throughout pregnancy, birth, and childhood, the chiropractic lifestyle offers choices and benefits for greater health and well-being.

Every living thing has life force energy called Qi. It is in the invisible web of energy that animates us and it needs to flow harmoniously through the meridians to nourish every cell in our bodies. Think of it as your inner technology.

Acupuncture is extremely safe and painless when administered by a qualified practitioner. All needles are single use, sterile, individually wrapped, and very thin. Most people feel relaxed and refreshed with an enhanced sense of wellbeing after treatment. Symptoms are your "check engine" light before a problem becomes chronic and degenerative.

What is the Sigma Adjustor?

  • A computerized analysis and adjusting instrument
  • A technology that captures the two most important characteristics of the most effective chiropractic adjustments: high velocity delivered with minimal force (low amplitude)
  • Applies the same sensing technology used in aerospace landing gear and other structural engineering applications
  • Measures the stiffness of the tissue or joint through the application of a light mechanical force and oscillating frequency, sending a signal back to the sensor, all before the muscle can respond

What can you expect?

  • Patients report comfort is increased because there is no need to turn or hyperextend parts of the body, head or neck
  • It delivers a gentle percussive adjustment until the feedback mechanism senses the reduction in resistance in the tissues, then stops automatically when the adjustment is complete
  • Innovative because it is able to match the exact sub-harmonic resonant percussion force to the natural frequency of the tissue level it is being used to treat

What is the same about manual and computer assisted chiropractic adjustments?

  • Both restore facet joint function and remove subluxations or pressure on your spinal nerves
  • Both address the integrity of the spine and nerve system and create positive change in the normal range of motion improving spinal and nerve function
  • Both are recognized and scientifically validated methods of delivering chiropractic adjustments
